Located in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, our Members Hub is a welcoming safe space and has a youth centre vibe, supporting adults with additional needs, where you can enjoy a friendly, supportive environment designed for connection, confidence-building and personal growth. Our 1:1 support service is also available.

 

Our staff are fully trained in working with adults with additional needs and whether you join us through a monthly membership or a day pass, you’ll always be welcomed into a community that truly cares.

Pathway to Employment

Pathway to Employment Programme

Our Pathway Programme is designed to support adults (aged 16+) with additional needs who would like help gaining paid or voluntary work in the local area. This short-term initiative runs for 6 to 12 months and is charged at a daily rate.

📋 What’s Included?
Each participant is matched with a dedicated support mentor who will guide them through their journey to employment. Support may include:

•     Learning or improving specific skills related to your chosen job
•     Building core skills in Maths, English, and Computer Literacy
•     Travel training and route planning
•     Money management and budgeting
•     Confidence and social skills development
•     Help finding paid or voluntary work
•     Interview preparation and CV support

We work in partnership with organisations such as Realise Futures and Ace Anglia to ensure a wide range of needs
are met.

💼 What Kind of Jobs Can We Help With?
This programme is completely person-centred and tailored to your interests, strengths, and goals. Examples include:

Animal Care (rescue centres, dog walking, grooming)
Shop Work
Café or Restaurant 
Gardening and Horticulture
Peer Support and training (via Ace Anglia)
Factory Work
Health and Social Care 

🛠️ How It Works

1.     Customer Request
You let us know you're interested in volunteering or paid work.

2.     Pathway Planning
We create a personalised pathway plan using our personal development plan booklet .

3.     Goal Setting
Together, we agree on S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).

4.     Communication
We inform relevant people (e.g. family, SCC, NHS).

5.     Programme Begins
You start your journey with our support.

6.     Regular Updates
We provide progress updates every four weeks to relevant contacts.

💷 Cost
This is session based and includes full support from your mentor, access to all equipment, and time for social and leisure activities throughout the day.

Homeless Support

We’re currently providing remote support for people experiencing homelessness in the local area, offering hot drinks, food, blankets, and whatever practical help we can.
